The problem is that director Peter Berg, aided and abetted by Smith and Theron and third banana Jason Bateman, seem to have made it literally, not realizing its out-of-whack tonalities and grotesque plot twists were meant to be played The movie started out really solid with some good laughs and then half way in you get a crazy plot twist that reveals Hancock#39;s origin. And let me tell you this has to be one of the worst origin stories ever. After watching the features I don#39;t think Peter Berg intended it as a big twist at all. And 2. The dramatic final act was pretty near-perfect in my eyes. I really liked some of the choices towards the end, especially (spoilers in white) how Hancock and Mary#39;s only
